Notes on My Journey Across Design, Manufacturing, and AI
記錄我在設計、製造與 AI 之間的探索
Reflections on working at the intersection of digital manufacturing and architectural design, and how AI is reshaping what's possible in creative workflows.
Over the past few years, I've been working where digital manufacturing meets architectural design. My path has taken me through projects with robotic arms, CNC machining, 3D printing, factory automation, and parametric design. These experiences gave me a perspective that feels unique: I understand the needs of designers, I see the challenges on the factory floor, and I imagine how technology might change what connects the two.
AI has recently added another layer to this. It's not just a new tool - it feels more like a shift in what's possible. I often ask myself: if AI could handle the repetitive, mechanical parts of our workflows, how much more space would it create for creativity and decision-making?
This blog is where I'll keep track of my experiments and reflections:
- Examples of automation I've observed in industry
- AI workflows I'm trying out
- Cultural differences I've noticed while working in the U.S.
These won't be final answers - more like snapshots of an open process. Writing here is simply part of how I think.
If you come from an architecture background and are curious about venturing into other fields, maybe you'll find something useful here. Even small sparks can open up new possibilities.
